Job Description
Calance US is seeking an AVP-level Cybersecurity Engineer to lead enterprise identity and access governance efforts from a hybrid setup in New York, NY. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process optimization, and automation to strengthen access controls, boost operational efficiency, and support regulatory compliance. The position offers a salary range of USD 200,000 to 240,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage access review and validation activities to ensure proper permissions and governance controls across systems.
- Evaluate user entitlements and identity data to surface inconsistencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and deploy automation solutions to cut manual work and boost operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and compliance stakeholders to advance access management initiatives.
- Offer guidance on governance processes, user access management practices, and associated system capabilities.
- Assist in upholding and refining access control standards aligned with security and regulatory requirements.
- Present findings, metrics, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format.
- Act as a resource for operational decision-making, process improvements, and risk mitigation efforts.
Requirements
- Strong aptitude for interpreting complex data sets, spotting trends, and communicating results to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience assisting end users and stakeholders with system functionality, governance workflows, and user access-related tasks.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities while delivering high-quality results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proven multitasking across initiatives.
- Effective communicator with demonstrated leadership and sound judgment in decisions.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with enterprise technologies including Microsoft 365, directory services, reporting platforms, and workflow automation tools; exposure to identity governance or entitlement management solutions is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of AI technologies and how they can improve operations, boost efficiency, and reduce manual work; understanding of responsible AI practices and risk considerations is preferred.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and security control frameworks used in enterprise settings.
- Experience creating scripts, automations, or process improvements with PowerShell, Python, or related technologies.
