Cybersecurity Engineer

Onsite Tier-2 cybersecurity engineer for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, focused on evaluating and deploying security technologies, shaping policies, and safeguarding data across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Assess, integrate, and deploy advanced information security technologies and policies across the Seminole Tribe of Florida's enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Contribute to the creation and rollout of security policies to guide organizational risk management.
• Perform internal and external audits to verify adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Proactively mitigate risk to safeguard sensitive information across environments.
• Lead or participate in vulnerability management programs, prioritizing remediation efforts.
• Collect, correlate, and analyze security logs to identify anomalies and incidents.
• Manage access controls and user rights to ensure appropriate permissions.
• Monitor patching and update compliance to keep systems current.
• Protect against malware through preventive controls and timely eradication of threats.
• Implement intrusion prevention measures and respond to attempted breaches.
• Maintain continuous monitoring of networks, endpoints, and applications for real-time visibility.
• Ensure compliance of external programs with applicable security requirements.
• Strengthen overall defenses, maintain regulatory alignment, and safeguard critical assets across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of enterprise IT security experience in an environment with information security responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of CJIS, COPPA, FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS regulatory standards.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
