Job Description

This full-time Cybersecurity Development Engineer role on Lockheed Martin Space's GPS Control Segment in Colorado Springs focuses on defending GPS capabilities through defensive cyber operations, secure architecture design, and resilient countermeasures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the GPS Defensive Cyber Operations Tool Suite as a leading, best-in-class solution.
  • Support secure architecture design and resiliency for the program.
  • Identify, develop, and implement resilient countermeasures to reduce enterprise risk.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Linux distributions such as Red Hat and Ubuntu
  • Scripting capabilities in Python, shell/bash, and PowerShell
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (for example, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management tools (e.g., Splunk)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required; eligibility for a government security clearance
  • Current DoD 8570 baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CEH, CySA+, etc.)
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Occasional travel to military installations in Colorado and California
