Job Description

Peraton is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect (Lead) to support the Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC). This onsite role in Fort Meade, MD focuses on defensive cyberspace operations, along with AI support, while guiding architecture and compliance activities that strengthen cybersecurity readiness.

The lead will oversee analytic support and drive key initiatives including Zero Trust architecture, readiness assessments, and alignment with security standards and accreditation requirements. The position also requires integration of threat intelligence and management of vulnerability assessment and remediation efforts for the environment supported by DCDC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6 cybersecurity professionals
  • Design and implement Zero Trust (ZT) architecture
  • Conduct cybersecurity readiness assessments
  • Oversee RMF compliance and accreditation
  • Direct threat intelligence integration
  • Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Minimum experience:
    • 12 years with BS/BA
    • 10 years with MS/MA
    • 7 years with Ph.D.
    • May consider Associate +14 or HS +16 years of experience
  • Requires current CISSP, CISM, or CASP+ IA cybersecurity certification
  • Expert knowledge of Zero Trust architecture
  • Strong experience with RMF and NIST frameworks
  • Proficiency in security tools including SIEM and IDS/IPS
  • Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements
  • Experience leading security teams
  • DoD TS with ability to obtain and maintain SCI clearance

Salary Information

USD 135,000 - 216,000 per year. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
