Cybersecurity Architect

Build and shape enterprise-ready cybersecurity architecture while working in a mission-focused environment at Maximus. This onsite role in Bethesda, MD supports the development of cybersecurity requirements, baseline controls for common enterprise services, and advisory work across key initiatives. You will help translate cybersecurity needs and capabilities into clear technical solutions, contribute to policy direction such as ICAM and Zero Trust, and respond to congressional inquiries with accurate, technically grounded outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to congressional inquiries on cybersecurity issues by turning cybersecurity needs and capabilities into requirements and detailed technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain a list of Cybersecurity Architecture needs, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Analyze cybersecurity best practices to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide meaningful input to cybersecurity policies and help influence the trajectory of ICAM, Zero Trust, and other cybersecurity areas within the IC.
• Develop and publish baseline security requirements for common enterprise services to help ensure compliance with cybersecurity directives and policies.
• Offer guidance and recommendations for security-related issues.
• Maintain a firm understanding of cybersecurity requirements across the IC, including familiarity with National Security Systems initiatives.
• Apply knowledge of the IC policy update process and familiarity with DNI structure and processes.
• Work independently or as part of a team, including providing input during technical exchange meetings with customers.

Requirements

• Must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Onsite in Bethesda, Maryland with ability to commute daily.
• BS degree and 12 to 15 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity responsibility areas aligned to the duties above, including secure cloud architecture.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality products that are concise, thorough, and accurate.
• Ability to adapt to shifts in customer priorities.
• Familiarity with Identity, Authentication and Authorization.
• Experience partnering across the IC.
