Job Description
Vaco by Highspring offers an onsite opportunity in Novi, Michigan for a Cybersecurity Architect. The role pays $50-$60 per hour and includes discretionary bonuses, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a 401(k) plan. You will help shape and secure cloud, application, and infrastructure environments, focusing on enterprise security strategy, threat modeling, cloud security, and secure solution design. This position involves collaborating with distributed, offshore, and managed services teams to advance security maturity across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Architect and secure enterprise cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments while advancing cybersecurity architecture standards, governance, and risk initiatives.
- Perform hands-on threat modeling for applications, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure, and conduct architecture reviews and security assessments.
- Design and implement secure cloud solutions, with a preference for Azure, covering identity management, cloud security controls, and secure-by-design practices.
- Provide strategic security guidance to technical and business leaders, translating security requirements into scalable architectural solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement of cloud security, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity maturity programs across the organization.
- Collaborate with distributed, offshore, and managed services teams; prior leadership, mentoring, or coordination experience is highly valued.
- Certifications such as CCSP and Azure Security certifications, and experience supporting large-scale global enterprise environments are highly preferred.
Requirements
- CISSP Certification
- Cloud Security Architecture experience, preferably Azure
- Hands-on security threat modeling experience across applications, APIs, interfaces, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure
- Enterprise security architecture experience within complex environments
- CCSP Certification
- Azure Security Certifications
- Experience leading or mentoring architecture resources or teams
- Experience working with global, offshore, or managed services teams
