Job Description

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is recruiting a Cybersecurity Architect to join the on-site team in Woodlawn, Maryland, supporting the development, design, implementation, and oversight of the AccessCMS platform within OIT ESSG DIMES. This role centers on shaping the enterprise ICAM security framework, ensuring policy alignment, and driving governance across CMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of the enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management security framework.
  • Analyze a system's compliance with applicable policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor progress against program plans, including milestones and timeframes.
  • Provide administrative support to Contracting Officer Representatives in formulating project plans, statements of objectives and/or statements of work, and budgets to support ICAM initiatives for CMS systems.
  • Assist in internal reporting to leadership on ICAM governance activities, including periodic reports on CMS systems' compliance with security metrics.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or National status is required.
  • Background and suitability investigation will be conducted.
  • Selective Service registration is required for males born after December 31, 1959 (or exemption).

How you will be evaluated

  • Evaluation will consider how well you meet the listed qualifications, your application materials, and responses to the application questionnaire, plus results of required online assessments.
  • A Subject Matter Expert will assist in resume reviews to determine qualifications.
  • Competencies assessed include accountability, attention to detail, customer service, decision making, flexibility, communication, integrity, teamwork, and related skills.
