Job Description

Work fully remote and help train AI chatbots for cybersecurity by reviewing AI-generated security content and working security-focused technical problems. This contract opportunity is supported by flexible scheduling, hourly pay through DataAnnotation’s platform, and the chance to directly influence how future AI security models are built.

Location: Illinois (remote)

Compensation: USD 50 to 100 per hour (hourly, paid via DataAnnotation’s platform)

What you’ll do

  • Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code to support training and evaluation needs.
  • Provide feedback that helps shape the next generation of AI models for cybersecurity use cases.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related work, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Some coding experience and comfort working with and patching a codebase.
  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications are a plus, for example OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.

Remote flexibility and compensation

  • Competitive hourly pay: USD 50 to 100 per hour.
