Job Description

Work fully remote and put your cybersecurity expertise to use training AI models for real-world security. DataAnnotation is hiring an AI Trainer with existing cybersecurity experience to evaluate AI-generated security content, build training tasks, and provide feedback that improves how AI systems understand threats and defenses. Contract projects are paid hourly, with flexible scheduling and the ability to work from your own computer.

What you’ll do

  • Review and assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Produce clear technical write-ups, including security-relevant code and explanations.
  • Provide feedback that directly guides model improvement, helping shape the next generation of AI security capabilities.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent areas, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Some coding experience, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • Fluency in English at native or bilingual level, with strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.
