Job Description

Based onsite in Liverpool, NY, this Cyber Systems Security Engineer role supports Lockheed Martin's Syracuse-based System Security Team in safeguarding sensitive information and guiding the testing lifecycle for program information, cost, and risk. The position emphasizes proactive protection of missions, rigorous test planning, and collaboration with customers and stakeholders to ensure secure outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops solutions to protect sensitive information and systems.
  • Leads technical planning, verification, evaluation, and analysis of critical program information, cost, and risk.
  • Supports capture efforts and future capabilities to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Coordinates and executes test events both internally and externally.
  • Engages with internal and external customers and auditors to address technical concerns and resolve issues.
  • Communicates effectively with program personnel, executives, and government officials.
  • Develops and coordinates test strategies, plans, procedures, and reports across programs to ensure thorough validation and program success.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).
  • Ability to obtain a Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
