Contract Cloud Security Engineer role in Columbia, SC for Concordant, LLC, focused on deploying and managing statewide cloud initiatives and a managed cloud broker model in a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

Execute system administration, automation, and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP) to support cloud operations
Collaborate with technology operations and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to cloud infrastructure
Maintain continuity of shared services delivered across AWS and Azure environments

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems
10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture
8+ years of technical architecture experience with hands-on engineering
5-7 years of AWS experience including IAM, Organizations, networking architectures, and cost management controls
3-5 years of Azure experience including RBAC, Azure AD, networking architectures, and cost management controls
3-7 years of enterprise cloud architecture or governance experience
3-5 years of Terraform and infrastructure as code experience
3-5 years of cloud migrations and platform operations experience
3+ years of technical leadership and knowledge transfer experience
Public cloud infrastructure expertise

Position Summary

This role supports day-to-day operations and migrations to AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure as the organization moves toward a managed cloud broker model, with responsibilities spanning hands-on engineering, governance, and collaboration across agencies.

Location

Hybrid position based in Columbia, SC
Onsite during the first week to acclimate to the team
Then onsite approximately 3 days per month; remaining time remote
Onsite cadence to be scheduled with the manager after start

Duration

12 months, with potential extension.
