Join PNC’s Asset Management Group Investment Office in Philadelphia, where you will support the Custom and Direct Indexing (CDI/THOR) team with research and analysis that inform fixed income coverage, issuer evaluation, and portfolio recommendations. This onsite role combines credit research, valuation modeling, and data-driven decision support within an environment that emphasizes risk management, customer-focused thinking, and careful execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide fixed income research coverage across assigned industry and sectors.
- Analyze financial statements, industry data, and market dynamics to develop a credit profile and valuation framework for individual fixed income issuers.
- Support issuer and security recommendations using detailed financial statement models, data analysis, and valuation models.
- Produce portfolio recommendations grounded in financial, technical, and valuation metrics.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant, direct industry experience (roles at this level typically require a university/college degree).
- Prior experience with SMA trading, portfolio implementation, and ongoing portfolio maintenance in an investment management environment.
- Familiarity with equity direct indexing solutions, including customization, rebalancing, and tracking error management.
- Strong ability to work with and interpret large datasets, including sourcing, cleaning, and validating data for analytical use.
- Programming or quantitative skill set (such as Python or SQL) to build or enhance models, analytics, and automation tools.
- Interest in financial markets, equity investing, and portfolio construction, with a proactive, self-motivated problem-solving approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience using Fact Set and/or Bloomberg.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, regression, and financial time series.
- Progress toward the CFA designation is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strengths including analytical thinking, decision making, critical thinking, effective communications, financial and financial statement analysis, managing multiple priorities, and quantitative research techniques.
