This role sits in JPMorgan Chase’s Cybersecurity Technology & Controls organization and focuses on critical architecture solutions, risk identification and mitigation, and AI-assisted security validation that turns security signals into actionable insights.
What you’ll do
- Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate cybersecurity architecture analysis and decisioning, including risk identification and documentation, while validating outputs and handling data based on sensitivity and security requirements.
- Define and drive the technical target state for your cybersecurity product, advancing the strategy from planning through execution.
- Find ways to eliminate or automate remediation for recurring issues across software applications and systems to improve overall cybersecurity outcomes.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe cybersecurity designs, technical credentials, and fit for use within existing systems and cybersecurity architecture.
- Lead communities of practice to build awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies.
- Drive reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted security validation across SDLC and toolchain routines to improve control testing and remediation quality with traceability/auditability and resiliency expectations.
- Conduct risk analysis on key metric drivers, including exposure, likelihood, impact, control gaps, and threat trends, with root-cause analysis and clear explanations.
- Develop analytics tools and products such as dashboards, metric pipelines, reporting applications, and self-service datasets to translate cybersecurity risk data into insights for executives and risk committees.
- Design data models and pipelines integrating sources including security tooling, GRC platforms, asset inventories/CMDB, IAM, ticketing systems, cloud logs, and findings repositories, with controls for data quality, lineage, and repeatability.
- Establish and run an analytics operating cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for risk reviews, including metric definitions, refresh schedules, exception management, and stakeholder sign-offs.
- Automate insight generation where feasible using anomaly detection, threshold-based alerts, auto-generated narratives, and drill-down workflows to reduce manual reporting effort.
What you’ll need
- Formal training or certification in cybersecurity architecture and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience building risk visualization capabilities and delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
- Demonstrated ability using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within cybersecurity architecture workflows, including strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
- Ability to assess and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring alignment with security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity risk management concepts: threat, vulnerability, exposure, likelihood/impact, control design vs. operating effectiveness, residual risk, risk appetite/limits.
- Deep expertise in one or more programming languages, software, and/or applications.
- Proficiency across SDLC execution, including automation/continuous delivery practices and agile methodologies such as continuous integration/delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical processes within a discipline such as public cloud, AI/ML, or mobile, including practical cloud-native experience.
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend future-state architecture.
- Experience communicating effectively with senior business leaders.
