Job Description

Join Accenture as a Cybersecurity Forward Deployed Engineer consultant, embedded with enterprise teams to build production-secure AI systems using agentic coding.

Responsibilities

Support AI security architecture and threat modeling for production agentic deployments across complex multi-stakeholder client environments (LLM systems, multi-agent pipelines, RAG architectures, and MLOps infrastructure), owning security design from assessment through hardened deployment
Deliver hands-on security engineering using agentic coding tools as the primary build environment
Build AI-powered detection systems, automated threat response tooling, security assessment frameworks, and governance automation using Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in daily delivery
Support AI-specific threat surface management at programme scale, including OWASP LLM Top 10 controls, prompt injection hardening, model extraction prevention, adversarial input defenses, and AI supply chain security across concurrent client workstreams
Architect and govern AI security controls across the enterprise stack: identity and access for AI systems, data pipeline security, model serving security, and multi-system integration risk across AWS, Azure, or GCP
Help implement AI governance for live production systems using EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and model risk management (not theoretical compliance exercises)
Contribute to client CISO and CTO AI reinvention security strategy: risk-adjusted investment cases, security architecture roadmaps, and AI governance operating models aligned to commercial outcomes
Define and publish reusable security patterns, playbooks, and accelerators to scale across client engagements and grow the Secure AI practice
Participate in architecture design sessions, threat modeling workshops, and code-with sessions with client engineering and security leadership teams

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in production environments with cybersecurity depth in at least one area: AppSec, SecOps/detection engineering, cloud security, IAM, offensive security/penetration testing, or GRC
Minimum 1 year hands-on experience designing and deploying agentic AI solutions in a production environment (theoretical familiarity does not qualify)
Minimum 3 years working with cloud platform security fundamentals on at least one provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP (IAM, network security, secrets management, and AI service security configurations)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience); if Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience
Proven ability to communicate security risk in business terms, translating threat exposure into risk-adjusted investment rationale a CISO or CFO would act on

Claude Code
Cursor
GitHub Copilot
AWS
Azure

OWASP LLM Top 10
EU AI Act
NIST AI RMF

Benefits

Medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability coverage

Travel may be required; amount varies from 0% to 100% based on business need and client requirements

The Work

Operate as part of Accenture’s Reinvention Delivery Engine (RDE) Pod: a small, persistent, outcome-oriented team aligned to a client business domain or AI programme
Pod runs 90-day delivery cycles and owns end-to-end outcomes across build, deploy, and optimize
Embed directly inside the client’s technology organization

You Are

Not a security consulting role, not a compliance advisory position, and not a pen test engagement
A production engineer embedded inside a client’s enterprise shoulder-to-shoulder with security and engineering teams to make AI systems secure, governed, and resilient in real organizational environments
Outcome-driven: reduced attack surface, production-safe AI deployments, and measurable security posture improvement
Focused on agentic coding as the primary method of delivery, using Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as the standard operating environment
Building security tooling, detection systems, threat models, and governance frameworks with AI co-authoring the code
Avoids the profile of treating AI tools as optional accelerators; instead, delivers with them

Location: New York, NY (onsite) | Salary: USD 59,100 - 235,100 per year
