The Cyber Security Engineer is knowledgeable in product related security issues. In this position you will help other roles in writing cyber security requirements and defining cybersecure edge and cloud software architecture. You will assist with secure design, secure coding practices, security testing and security assessments of software for products or systems and by assisting the product maintenance with e.g. vulnerability handling.

The main work for a Cyber Security Engineer is to assist own and neighboring R&D teams with product related cyber security threats, issues and solutions.
Collaboration is an integral part of the job, as the Cyber Security Engineer may be consulted by managers, customers and developers to solve technical challenges and to determine the requirements of the software system.

Your Responsibilities

Lead the applications architecture from the cyber security aspects
Regularly inform and train employees in cyber security
Assist product management in capturing customer driven product requirements on cyber security
Ensure that cyber security practices are followed (e.g. security assessment, threat modelling, static code analysis, system validation, vulnerability tests and reviews, etc.)
Make sure that used tools (e.g. Static Code Analysis) are configured and updated according to recommended security guidelines
Assure cyber security deviations and issues are resolved, and when necessary escalate issues to the Cyber Security Core team
Ensure discovered vulnerabilities are managed according the vulnerability handling process, including support for publishing related field communication

Your background

University degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT or related field
Strong technical background in at least one of the following areas: Design and review cyber security related aspects of web, containerized, on-prem and cloud hosted applications; or Cyber security principles, technology, solutions and processes; or Security testing, vulnerability assessment and fuzzing
Market awareness of cyber security trends, testing tools, vulnerability assessment and fuzzing tools
Fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent communication skills towards different stakeholders: technical team members, cyber security council, upper management
Experience in working in multicultural environments
Experience in security testing of industrial control systems is a plus
